Unirea Voluntari Urziceni – Hamburg UEFA Cup match preview

By: sasha | October 1st, 2008

Following the first leg of the Unirea Voluntari Urziceni – Hamburg UEFA Cup series which ended in a scoreless draw, the series returns to Urziceni for the deciding match tonight. Tactically Urziceni’s manager, Dan Petrescu led the club perfectly in the opening match and have turned the tie in their advantage.

Since facing the Romanian club, Hamburg were run ragged by Wolfsburg losing 3-0 but have defeated VfL Bochum and Borussia Mönchengladbach in successive matches. Unirea Voluntari Urziceni are going full throttle in Liga 1, one point behind Dinamo Bucureşti in a race for the top of the table and coming off a highly convincing 2-0 victory over Vaslui this weekend. The attacking group of Marius Onofras, Marius Bilaşco and Bogdan Mara have created the most potent attacking force in Romania and Stadionul Tineretului will be singing in support as they lead their club onto victory.
